With over 20 years of experience as a professional photographer and over seven years teaching and public speaking experience, Mark Hill is the ideal mentor to host your next photography workshop or talk. Mark creates a fun, engaging, informative, and inclusive atmosphere that will inspire and teach everyone how to become a better photographer using their own phone or DLSR camera!

It all started when…

Mark was approached by Savvi Credit Union to give a three hour ‘Talk & Walk’ interactive photography workshop for their customers. He met with the client to assess their needs, and tailored his introductory “Understanding Photography” package to suit what they were looking for. In the first two hours the group covered the basics of photography, learning about light, composition, how to speak and direct a model, and how to arrange a group to be photographed. Mark interacted with the group, asking engaging questions throughout and encouraging volunteers to pose for demonstrations. After the initial workshop, the group was led by Mark on an exciting one hour photo walk to explore their learnings while answering one to one questions and give a helping hand when needed.

Mark has held photography talks, walks and workshops for Backup Marketing, Savvi Credit Union, International Women’s Club of Dublin, and TU Dublin Photo Society. He has taught several beginner photographic courses with Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology, and Dun Laoghaire Further Education Institute.
